Happy New Year!

Wel, I think I am the worst "blogger" ever in history. I know I have been mia for quite some time but I sort of been busy and lazy...hence the long gap of not posting.  Anyhow, for the new year I am going to really try to  be more diligent at posting.  I just find it difficult sometimes with kids, life, etc...so much to do and so little time.  As for me I have been busy with sewing projects, working out , kids sports/activities and learning more about blogging.  I am very excited to be attending the Free People Blogger Retreat in Philly this Friday!!! YAY :D I will surely update on that upon my return...so here's to a new year, hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with friends and family! Here are just a few pics of my holiday...

bedroom tour...

Today I am sharing with you pictures of my bedroom. My bedroom consist of two rooms, and like most Victorian homes the rooms are small.

My home was originally a convent for the Catholic church which is next door...the two rooms I chose as my master bedroom were originally a sitting room/den, at least that's what I think it was.  I didn't want to start knocking out walls, etc...so it just made sense to make this my bedroom. I chose a pastel pink for the bedroom color.  It has just enough warm but is also almost neutral so it's not over powering.  The bedroom gets alot of light...so I went with a light airy color. I love the columns and my built-ins...also LOVE my fireplace (it works)!!

Summer Fun...

I know I have not been diligent with posting on my blog but I need to learn many things, like how to do these gadget things, etc....help!
This summer has been one of the best so far...we got to get away many times to our tiny cottages by Thousand Island, which are on Lake Ontario.  It's always so beautiful and peaceful up there...it's weird I live in the country, but when I visit the lake it's different.  Here are some pics of the summer fun my family and I have had so far...

MY FIRST BLOG

Hello,

Well, I have decided to create my own blog at 41!  Ha...My name is Eva but my friends and family refer to me as Tata or Tati.  I never have been much of a blogger or blog follower but the last three years have been a life changing experience for me and my family.  It first started with two lovely blogs I came across, violetbellasworld.blogspot.com and poorpitifulpearl.com they are both amazing strong woman and I love their blogs. They have been a huge influence in why I have decided to share my journey with all of you.  Where do I start, I moved to the Catskill Mountains in NY from Queens, NY.  I have always loved the country and we decided to make the move so here we are. My husband (Harry) and I have lived here with two of our three kids.  We have a twenty one year old daughter in college and two kids at home , a Yorkie named Chanel and a Cockerspaniel named Belle.  Fast forwarding a bit and we just purchased an Old Victorian home last month and we are in the process of renovating this lovely relic which we all have decided to call it the "money pit" , here are some before pics...will post after pics once we make some progress.

These are just a few of the rooms, we have a total of seventeen rooms that need work...no we are not crazy - I think ???
